What do you love most about cycling?
Winning, definitely winning!

What keeps you going when you’re on the limit?
The fear of having to face myself after giving up, it really gets to me if I lost and I didn’t give 100%.

It has taught me so much, it has probably been the greatest influence on my character and how I deal with situations every day.

Favourite race:
Amashova Cycle Challenge

Favourite ride:
A coffee ride with my teammates and friends, it isn’t always about going fast.

If you weren’t a rider, what would you be?
A racecar driver, I raced go-carts on a national level before I started cycling seriously.

I have a couple of close friends who I race against, but who I spend a lot of time with off the bike too, I can’t really single anyone out.

Most famous person you’ve met:
Tom Boonen, while out on a training ride in Belgium.

Most embarrassing moment:
Probably when I crashed my bike into a pavement in front of the entire school in grade 8.

Interesting fact:
From travelling so much, I have stopped unpacking my toiletry bag; I just continue to use it as if I’m away from home.

Best advice:
Keep focused, every day and every ride needs to have a purpose and a plan. Every ride needs to have a goal.
